ANDROMEDA & TED TONKS
Tonks's parents. Andromeda's maiden name is Black. She is a Pure Blood witch and daughter of Cygnus and Druella (Rosier) Black and the middle sister of Bellatrix Lestrange and Narcissa Malfoy. Her Aunt Walburga burned her from the family tapestry after marrying a Muggle Born Wizard, Ted Tonks. Sirius has said Andromeda was his favorite cousin before his imprisonment. Not much is known about Tonks's parents other than Andromeda's knack for cleanliness and odd names (she is the one who named Tonks Nymphadora). Tonks often speaks of her parents in present tense, implying that they're both still alive. Given Tonks's age is a minimum of 22 in the Order of the Phoenix, it's assumed that Andromeda and Ted are both in their forties.

THE MALFOYS
Narcissa (Andromeda's sister) is Tonks's aunt by blood, therefore Lucius is her uncle, and Draco her younger cousin. The Malfoys are well known in the Wizarding world, more of an "aristocratic" family, wealthy and old-fashioned in their ways. All members of the Malfoys were sorted into Slytherin. "Mal foi" is French for "bad faith". It's obvious that Tonks has no relationship with this side of her family.

THE BLACKS
The Blacks were known to be practically royalty in the Wizarding world. Their family motto is "Toujours Pur" which means "always pure", as the Blacks prided themselves on their Pure blood line (any mixed blood descendants are not recognized by the family as told by Sirius in OOTP, and shown on the family tree). The Blacks were/are fairly prejudice and have been known to disown family members for marrying a Half Blood, or Muggle Born, or simply for disagreeing with the belief that Pure Bloods were superior to all others. Several members of the Black family have been revealed to be Death Eaters and many were serving for crimes in Azkaban before the mass break out in OOTP. Sirius Black, one of the few family members who did not succumb to his family's devious ways, was Tonks's second cousin (Andromeda, her mother, was Sirius's first cousin) before his untimely death in 1995.

MOLLY & ARTHUR WEASLEY
Tonks attended school with Charlie Weasley, though it's not known whether or not they were friends. In OOTP, Tonks is eager to help Molly out with the cooking while the Order stayed at 12 Grimmauld Place, but her clumsiness proved her to be less than helpful. While Molly seemed a bit irked at Tonks then, in HBP she showed a much more maternal side and provided support to Tonks when she was going through her depression and troubles with Remus. Tonks seems to get along wonderfully with Ginny and her siblings, providing endless entertainment to them with her metamorphosing skills. Both Arthur and Molly support Tonks's relationship with Remus.
